How is it possible that baby Wade is already at 36 weeks? Goodness, these 9 months have flown by! I was hoping this last month would d-r-a-g slowly by, so I could just treasure this time and get all the last minute details done. March didn't take the hint and is flying by just as quickly as the previous 8 months. Everything is ready, and we are just waiting for his arrival. However, there are quite a few events that will be happening over the next 3 weeks that I don't want to miss, so I hope he continues to bake just a little bit longer. March and April are always busy months for our family, but with Lee in preschool and starting t-ball soon, it's even busier than usual. I'm just trying to soak it all in and stay on top of what needs to be done. The dirty house can just wait, right??
Wade weighs about 7 pounds this week and is about 20 inches long. Our Dirt Devil hand vac is very close to the correct measurements. He has added yet another layer of fat, which is helping to regulate his body temperature so it will be stable once he is born. He will be about 15% body fat at birth. Why is this so darn cute on a baby and not so much on adults? Also this week, his gums have reached their peak and are firm with ridges where one day sweet little teeth will appear. He has established a sleep pattern now and has periods of time where he is asleep and times when he is awake and active. I'm finally over the fear that he already has his days and nights mixed up. I think he is sleeping at night, because he is so active during the day. We are all getting SO excited. Lee has such big plans for him already. Lee has done and said enough funny stuff lately that it deserves its own post for another time though.
