Lee was determined to break the pinata. He didn't.
After all the kids had a turn hitting the pinata, Mrs. Katie had to take drastic measures to break it open.

SUCCESS!
Then the kids dug in to get their treasures.
Here's Lee with his haul. I was proud of him for picking up the candy. It wasn't too long ago that he would spend all his time tediously picking through the candy to get all the smarties.
Lee and Hope posed for a few pictures.
I thought it would be funny to pose Hope in front of this sign while she was dressed so cute. She thinks I'm funny too.
We were getting the kids situated, and Jennifer nudged me and said to look at Lee's pose. He stayed like that for a long time. This is the best group picture I have. I was pleased that only one kid, Mary Kate, made a break for it. You can see her trying to escape the madness in the background.
Thank you Caroline and Katie, for such a fun party!
