Lee has hardly been able to wait to turn 6. He is one of the youngest in his class, so with each kid's birthday, he would count the days until it was his turn. Since he was part of my Anniversary Scavenger Hunt and loved it so much, we decided to do the same thing for his birthday.
He had a t-ball game, so I sent him to his room to get his uniform on, where he found his first note.
It directed him to Wade's room where he had to find his first gift.
It directed him to Wade's room where he had to find his first gift.
Mario Kart=1 happy boy!!
Then he was directed to the living room, where he found gift number 2. I don't think he cared one bit about the presents at this point. He was enjoying every second of the hunt.
He asked Wade for a hint, which was adorable.
He got an ipod of his very own, so now he won't have to listen to Michael Jackson on Mommy's and the oldies on Daddy's.
I didn't get a pic of gift 3, but it was hidden in Daddy's boots and was a game for the Wii. The hint to find gift number 4 was very tricky and required some help from Paul. It was a basketball. (Insert foreshadowing music here.)
He didn't know that it led to something else.
He quickly found gift 5, a big boy chair for him to enjoy on our screened porch.
The grand finale took awhile to figure out. He finally found it on the screened porch. It was a basketball goal! (It also happens to be the worst wrapping job I have ever done. After 2 rolls of paper, I didn't care how pretty it was. Lee just ripped it right off anyway.)
