6 Weeks!

Hey Mom! What does this sign say?

It says you are 6 Weeks Old!

You are smiling in response to things all the time now.

You notice all kinds of things around you.

Your favorite things to watch are the mobile, the fan and your brother.

You are really trying to hold your head up now.

I had all kinds of fun ideas for pictures, but somehow you've gotten too big for most of them!

You are such a big boy and are so happy.

One day soon, you'll run from my camera just like your brother.

So for now, I'm taking as many pictures as I want.

6 weeks is such a fun age!

Baseball Cutie

When he had a game after Lee's, we would try to go watch this cutie play ball.
Hayes's team was very good and only lost 1 game!
He was always excited to see the cousins there!

Lee's Birthday Party at Holy Cross

Since Lee's birthday is after school is out for the summer, he got to celebrate early on May 13th. Birthdays are a BIG deal, and the kids look so forward to their turn. Here is some of the fun.

Very first thing, the birthday child gets to sit in the special chair at the front of the class. The kids sing a special song, "It's Your Birthday," to them. It requires lots of dancing and wiggling and is SO cute. It is one of my favorite songs they sing at preschool. Next, the birthday child gets to tell the class his favorite colors, activities and things.
They get to invite special visitors to spend the day with them. Look who Lee invited!
Lee was presented with a Birthday Crown. He is coloring the main page, a birthday cake, to go in his birthday book. The book consists of pages made by his classmates.

They worked on the pages during table time and could do anything they wished. They were interesting!

Lee was very particular about his page.

Next, the birthday child chooses friends to represent his candles. Lee chose Thomas Conroy, Paul, Ben McCuistion, Andrew Peale, and Kenson Kyle to be his candles. The rest of the kids circled around and sang "Happy Birthday."

Next, Lee was presented with his birthday balloon.

And he got to choose a gift from the birthday box. He had a hard time choosing, but he finally decided on a Nerf ball.

Then it's snack time.

The birthday child leads the class in the blessing.

The birthday child brings his favorite snacks for the class.

Lee chose snack packs, goldfish and animal crackers.

He loves snack time, and he especially loved being table captain on his special day.

Thank you, Lee, for inviting us to be a part of your special day at Holy Cross. It is one we won't ever forget! We love you!

McNeill Park=New Home

With Lee, Paul, Hayes, Katie and Alex all playing ball right now, McNeill Park seems to be our second home these days. We love watching them play and seeing our friends there. Luckily Wade has numerous baseball outfits, so I don't have to wash his clothes all the time. I wish I could say the same about Lee's uniform! Who knew t-ball was such a dirty sport?

Hope is always excited to see Wade when we get to the park.
Sometimes Wade gets a little nervous when Hope comes at him with her love.
But then he gives her some love right back.

This was the first time the boys got to hit without the tee. They were so excited....and very good at it!

Lee enjoyed getting some love from Daddy on 3rd.

As soon as Lee's game was over, we walked over to the next field to catch the last half of Hayes's game.

He was excited to see all his fans!

5 Weeks Old

At 5 weeks old, you now LOVE the bath. You smile and coo and look up at the kitchen light the whole time. You like having your baby tub in the kitchen sink more than in the big bathtub. I think it's so we're eye level with you. (Lee still loves to help, and he laughs until he's breathless if you pee in the tub.)
Your favorite activity is still hanging out on the changing table and looking at your sign above it. You smile nonstop while you're there. You have rolled back to front 3 times so far. Finally, this week you decided you love to nap in the swing. It's been a big week for you!

Mother's Day

Mother's Day was my first day back to church since Wade's birth. I had

r-e-a-l-l-y missed going, so I couldn't wait to go and to show off my new present!

The present was looking mighty precious in his church attire, until he decided to have a major blowout during Sunday School. So he got to make his first official visit to the nursery as well.
Even though his outfit was poopy too, I snapped him back up to get a picture. The nursery ladies thought it was a hoot. After changing clothes, Wade went back to Sunday School with Daddy,

so I could go have breakfast with this cutie! He made me this plate with his hand print. I love it!

He also made me this corsage to wear.

After church, Mrs. Susan was kind enough to take some pictures in the courtyard for us.

I love how Lee looks in this one.

Happy Mother's Day to me!

Daddy was a little JEA, so I took his picture with them too.

The boys got me this precious Willow Tree with my new addition. It's called Quietly Encircled by Love. The "encircled by love" part is right, but whoever thought up that "quietly" part must not have a 4 year old and a newborn at their house!

I am so thankful for our Mothers, Grandmothers, Aunts, Sisters, and Friends who are in my life for their influence, encouragement and wisdom. It truly does take a village to raise a child. Mostly, I'm thankful that God chose me to be Lee's and Wade's Mother. Not a single day goes by that I don't look at them and think "I can't believe they're really mine!" I feel so blessed that they're healthy, and even though I want to freeze time, I can't wait to see what kind of wonderful, Godly men they will become.
